French artist Ferdinand Maubert, active in Kyoto since 2012, is known on the dance floor as Rem Kina as an event organizer, producer, and DJ.After participating in the artist-in-residence program at Villa Kujoyama run by Institut Français, he stayed in Japan and began creating.Since then, she has been active as a music producer in fields such as video art, performing arts, and mixed media installations.He began DJing in France during the early underground rave movement from England, and soon began producing his own music using hardware drum machines and analog modular synths.
In the summer of 2022, after three years of production, he finally released his debut album “Made in Kyoto” on the label “Roots of Kyoto”, which he created with the aim of promoting and producing young artists developing hybrid and multicultural projects.
